F A Q

The cost of your session goes to cover two main components; the time of that of myself and my team during the shoot itself, and the amount of time it takes me to hand detail the number of photos that come with the session that you have chosen.

Example (1-hour Portrait: Basic comes with 10 photos and costs $225. I pay my photography assistants at least $20/hr. When I am editing, on average I take about 15 minutes per image, sometimes far longer, but that's a safe average. That's not to mention all of the back and forth, communication and planning that went into scheduling the shoot in the first place, etc. Once it's all said and done, I have on average 3.5 hours of total work in on the session after editing those 10 images and shooting the 1-hour session. When you do the math, just shy of $60/hr seems like a fair wage and it certainly is until you take into account income tax, business expenses, gear, my studio, software, the list continues. I list this out to add some transparency to the photography industry as too many people get the impression that great photographers charge exorbitant amounts when in-fact, we charge what we have to in order to make a decent living. Quality comes at a cost and if you are reading this FAQ, you already understand this as the prices on my site didn't scare you away.

During our session, we will take many more photos than the final number you receive with the package you choose, which gives you a unique opportunity to come back to your gallery at any point in the future and purchase additional photos to be edited whenever you'd like. Click the next FAQ down to see how much each additional photo costs, and why I charge what I do!

Can’t decide which photos to select for me to edit? No worries! You can add a one-off add-on, or bundle additional edits and save. I am a detail-oriented editor and spend longer than the average photographer on each image. This results in high-quality images for my clients, but also a higher price as it takes more of my time to edit each individual photo. I do offer volume pricing as listed below.

- 1 Additional Edit - $25.75
- 5 Additional Edits - $77.25
- 10 Additional Edits - $128.75
- 20 Additional Edits - $180.25

Every session is different, so there isn't a simple answer to this question. Prior to your shoot, you will receive a personalized wardrobe consultation where we will discuss the theme and feel of the shoot, go over the outfits you have, and narrow them down to the final selections.

I'm am based in Danville, Kentucky which is about 35 minutes south of Fayette Mall in Lexington, or about 1.5 hours from Louisville. I regularly travel for shoots in Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee, but I have traveled all over the US for photoshoots so hit me up, and let's go somewhere! I'll travel up to 30 minutes outside Danville, KY included in the session price. Mileage or flat rate may be discussed on a per shoot basis but will be addressed before booking.

Depending on the type of session you select and the time of year, your photos will be ready anywhere between 2-4 weeks after the session date. I will discuss the timeline with you in advance of the shoot and will always work to achieve any deadlines you have for any particular reason if at all possible. Your shoot contract will have the official timeline for your shoot.

The number of photos you receive is based on the package you select. You can always purchase additional edits on any package if you want more photos. This is done after the session when you have a chance to see the photos in a proofing gallery so no up-front decisions need to be made.

Your photos will be available on my website in a private gallery only you will be able to access. From this private gallery, you can download all of your photos, share them with friends and family, and also order prints and other physical products for your loved ones to cherish.

Great question! The photo files that are provided with all package sessions listed on this website are High-Web Resolution Image files and thus are not suitable for printing. What this means is that these photos will look incredible on any digital screen, and can be used for sharing on social media, creating videos using mobile apps on your phone, and sharing with friends and family. The reasons I do not provide a Print License with a right to print, and thus Print Resolution images with any of my listed packages have to do with quality above all. The high-end equipment I use along with the wide range of colors I edit with typically cannot be replicated by standard 'lower quality' photo printers like Walmart, Walgreens, Shutterfly, or especially your photo printer at home. The skin tones can often appear completely off to just name one, and that leads to an overall bad experience when clients want to know why their photos came back and the entire Walmart staff saw their family photos and it looked like they were Oompa Loompas. Needless to say, they got a refund at Walmart and placed an order through my site the next day.

I have partnered with one of the top photo labs in the country to provide a beautiful assortment of high-quality products that you will be able to purchase directly from your online gallery after your set is delivered. I also offer heirloom handcrafted albums that are made right here in the US, in Indianapolis by a boutique company called Kiss Books. This involves a layout and a setup, so contact me if you're interested.
