What do I wear to my session?
Every session is different, so there isn't a simple answer to this question. Prior to your shoot, you will receive a personalized wardrobe consultation where we will discuss the theme and feel of the shoot, go over the outfits you have, and narrow them down to the final selections.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm am based in Danville, Kentucky which is about 35 minutes south of Fayette Mall in Lexington, or about 1.5 hours from Louisville. I regularly travel for shoots in Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee, but I have traveled all over the US for photoshoots so hit me up, and let's go somewhere! I'll travel up to 30 minutes outside Danville, KY included in the session price. Mileage or flat rate may be discussed on a per shoot basis but will be addressed before booking.
When will I get my photos?
Depending on the type of session you select and the time of year, your photos will be ready anywhere between 2-4 weeks after the session date. I will discuss the timeline with you in advance of the shoot and will always work to achieve any deadlines you have for any particular reason if at all possible. Your shoot contract will have the official timeline for your shoot listed on page 5.
How many pictures will I receive?
The number of photos you receive is based on the package you select. Each package also comes with a "Full Set Buyout" which is an additional charge that will allow you to download the entire edited shoot, instead of the number that was included with your package.
How will i receive my photos?
Your photos will be available on my website in a private gallery only you will be able to access. From this private gallery, you can download all of your photos, share them with friends and family, and also order prints and other physical products for your loved ones to cherish.
Am I allowed to print the photos I received with my session?
Great question! The photo files that are provided with all package sessions listed on this website are High-Web Resolution Image files and thus are not suitable for printing. What this means is that these photos will look incredible on any digital screen, and can be used for sharing on social media, creating videos using mobile apps on your phone, and sharing with friends and family. The reasons I do not provide a Print License with a right to print, and thus Print Resolution images with any of my listed packages have to do with quality above all. The high-end equipment I use along with the wide range of colors I edit with typically cannot be replicated by standard 'lower quality' photo printers like Walmart, Walgreens, Shutterfly, or especially your photo printer at home. The skin tones can often appear completely off to just name one, and that leads to an overall bad experience when clients want to know why their photos came back and the entire Walmart staff saw their family photos and it looked like they were Oompa Loompas. Needless to say, they got a refund at Walmart and placed an order through my site the next day.
I have partnered with some of the top photo labs in the country to provide a beautiful assortment of high-quality products that you will be able to purchase directly from your online gallery after your set is delivered. I also offer heirloom handcrafted albums that are made right here in the US, in Indianapolis by a boutique company called Kiss Books. This involves a layout, so contact me if you're interested.
If you still wish to print photos on your own, a Print License with printing rights and a print resolution copy of the images you would like to purchase can be made available, and I will be happy to recommend the best print shops to go-to for the best results.
